Wednesday night's Literacy Booksigning and the Soiree, the Beau Monde (Regency) Chapter party, seem a long time ago, but I did promise some photos.
This is Aztec Lady! I was so happy to see azteclady in person at the booksigning to thank her for commenting on Risky Regencies. You frequent commenters are like family!
At the Soiree, from left to right: Louisa Cornell (frequent commenter), Amanda, Megan, Keira (frequent commenter) and welcome guest author, Cara Elliot
Me (Diane) and Louisa
Regency dancing. They were just getting started. Janet dragged me onto the dance floor where I made an absolute cake of myself.
Janet and Amanda striking a pose.
Keira and Kris Alice Hohls, the editor of the German Romance magazine, Love Letters. Doesn't Keira look lovely in her Regency dress and bonnet?
The Mills and Boon (UK branch of Harlquin Enterprises) editors attended the Soiree. From left to right, Amanda, Linda Fildew (senior editor of Harlequin Historicals and Mills and Boon Historicals), Kim Young (editorial manager for M&B series and Mira), and Jenny Hutton (editor for Modern Romance)
Here it is Saturday night right before the Awards Ceremony.
Amanda with the cutest dress ever, frequest guest author Michelle Willingham, and Mills and Boon editor Joanne Grant.
As I was searching my photos for this blog, I realized I do not have even one photo of Carolyn! I have no idea why, except perhaps she really is a vampire like Janet said!
I won't be commenting much today, because I'll be on the road or exhausted when I get home, but I'll be more with it next week. Til then, tell us your favorite part of the RWA conference if you attended, or tell us about your favorite Disney heroine, because I think Amanda looked as if she stepped out of a Disney animation at the Awards ceremony.
The soiree is my absolute favorite part of the RWA conference. I was very sorry to miss it this year...
ReplyDeleteIt looks like fun was had by all - loved the dresses and thanks for the pics. It's nice to put faces with names.
ReplyDeleteIt was so wonderful to finally meet you in person, Ms Gaston! I did see Ms Jewel, but I confess that I in the end I did not manage to track down all of you Riskies...
ReplyDeleteThough I understand that the Beau Monde ladies snagged one of my would-be dates for the RITAs dinner, Kim in Hawaii--I'm waiting with bated breath for her blog on that!
Get home safe and rest... and rest, and then rest some more!
It was so lovely to see the Riskies, and I'm glad you got a photo of some of us altogether, Diane.
ReplyDeleteRest up!
Safe journey home, O Divine One, and get some well-deserved rest.
ReplyDeleteThe Soiree was so much fun and the best part was seeing the Riskies!
And it was great to see you all at breakfast on Friday as well.
And I got to meet Azteclady at a book signing!
How special to see photos of so many Riskies all together. Thank you for the pictures.
ReplyDeleteDiane, thank you for the photos. The soiree was so much fun. This was the first time I'd danced, and even though I went the wrong way many times, I had so much fun. As usual, it was SUCH a pleasure to see you. Thanks to you, I had a lovely roommate in Jennifer Stewart!
ReplyDeleteHi, everyone. I'm home. Julie and I had a good drive, but we were both soooooo tired, even after a long night's sleep in the hotel last night.
ReplyDeleteOnly thing that would have made it better would have been if all my favorites had won the RITAs and Golden Hearts.
I don't think I've started to recover yet! I've started unpacking, but mostly I'm just sitting around playing with my princess swag. :) It was a FABULOUS conference
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, I've seen Aztec Lady so much on the blogs (and I'm pretty sure she won my book in a contest). How fabulous to see her "in person."
